When I first started photography, I was introduced to Pure Photoshop Actions quickly. I thought that I’d only use them until I learned how to use Photoshop better. Now that I’m established in my business, I have realized that I rely on them now more than ever! They have done miracles for my post-production workflow and they cover everything I could ever imagine needing to tweak my photographs. I like a slightly understated look in my images, but I also like having the option to amp it up a bit when I need it- which is SO easy to do properly with these actions. I own 3 sets and I cannot choose a favorite. There are certain actions I use on EVERY single image- my favorite is “It’s all about the bling, baby” which is the BEST sharpening action I’ve ever used. It defines and gives the right about of dimension without creating noise or pixelation. Of course I have several favorites, but it’d be impossible to put into words what these actions have done for my photography. I also love that they’re not “click and flatten” actions. Each one is customizable, whether it be with a layer mask or a simple shift of the opacity bar. I layer actions at low opacities and they all work in such synchronicity with the others. And the customer service? It’s impeccable. Crystal and Rachel have been so incredibly invaluable to helping me (and everyone alike-) from the first set I purchased, to the endless confidence they have in photographers everywhere. It doesn’t matter if you’re a newbie, a hobbyist or a master guru of all things photography; these actions were created with careful consideration and the knowledge that anyone anywhere should be able to use them with ease. What would I do without Pure? Pure are my go to, must have actions. I use some sort of pure on just about all of my photos that I edit for clients. The actions are just so clean, easily editable, and totally fit my clean, crisp style of photography. They’ve streamlined my editing so that I can do my normal RAW edits, pull my photo into photoshop, run an action or two based on what it needs, save and done. My favorite action of all time? Warm that baby up. My canon seems to shoot a bit cool, and sometimes adjusting the WB in RAW just doesn’t cut it, but warm that baby up seems to just give my portraits that cozy feeling that I am always after. I also adore all of the sharpening actions. They just give everything a finished look. You can’t go wrong with Pure, especially if you love a clean, finished edit in minimal time! -Rebecca Hickey

I am a mom, police detective and photographer so needless to say I want to spend as little time in post processing as possible! Pure Photoshop Actions was the answer to my prayers! Their actions are easy to use and work beautifully to enhance my photos as opposed to over-powering them. I am mostly self-taught, but when I have had the opportunity to be mentored by the best in the business, one theme was always consistent: Less is more!!! First of all, I LOVE Pure Photoshop Actions and use them on EVERY single one of my photographs. Hey! My name is Jasmine Davis from RandiJasmine Photography. I havebought several action packages from you guys and I have to say they are amazing. With being a full time photographer it really speeds up the editing process. I do most of my culling and lightening fixes in lightroom and most of my artistic edits in photoshop. With being able to make minor adjustments using your actions in 1 to 2 mins really helps with my turn around times. I have two action sets and I love them both. I have Set 1 which helps with all my basic corrections and then I have the Spring Fever set which gives me more artistic editing options. I heard about pure photoshop actions last summer (2010) from Rachel Vanoven Photographys fanpage! At first I had no clue what the heck actions were and how they worked! I became a fan of you guys instantly and learned so much about actions and the effect on your work they can have if used right. I had been window shopping for you actions for a while after that LOL I got a freebie from you called “Sunrise Baby” but had no clue how to use it. I didn’t want to purchase them until I knew exactly what I was doing and had more knowledge in photoshop and your freebie was a great start for me to learn from. Then you had a contest to where you allow us to submit our photos to see what your actions would look like used in them. I was excited because It was the perfect opportunity for me to see what they would do for me personally. I came in second place by only about 8 votes!!! That next week I bought my first set of actions from you! Set 1 to be exact and ever since then, those are the only actions used in my editing! I was just a beginner in photography when I learned about Pure Photoshop actions. At the time they were offering a freebie action. I was embarrased to ask questions because I was new to DSLRs and photoshop alltogether. Well, I finally worked up the confidence to ask why my “after actions” photo looked overexposed.
